GUD Holdings Ltd engaged Rook Salinger to source and secure a long-term lease on an 11,500sqm distribution centre in Brisbane’s Trade Coast precinct, as part of a broader project to redirect inbound containers direct to the Port of Brisbane.
GUD is an ASX200 listed company that comprises a number brands which are market leaders in their individual industries. The new facility is a consolidation of 2 existing warehouses for ED Oates at Morningside and Davey Water Products at Northgate.
A structured RFP process allowed the client to consider all available opportunities in the marketplace. The selected site at 103 Bancroft Road, Pinkenba was previously occupied by Northline Transport and is well located adjacent to Brisbane airport and the Gateway Motorway. It comprises a 7,500sqm high bay warehouse and a 4,000sqm super awning with sunken docks and multiple roller shutter doors.
The new 7 year lease was the largest warehouse lease completed in the Brisbane market in Q1, 2015.
