The worldwide merger of Ecolab Inc and Nalco introduced the need to consolidate their property portfolio in Australia. As a previous client, Ecolab instructed Rook Salinger on the project to develop a property strategy, source the ideal premises and manage the company’s transition – addressing issues of workplace change, creating a common culture and harnessing business synergies.
Rook Salinger Director, David Black, led: the development of the property strategy, tenant representation services which resulted in the leasing of new offices at North Ryde, interior design services and project management of the fit-out. David also oversaw the workplace change program, ensuring a good flow of communication to employees throughout the change period.
The new premises were delivered on-time and below budget, on a financial package that was accretive to earnings. The project created a bright, new, open plan workplace, increasing productivity by bringing multiple teams together and improving employee satisfaction.
